Instructional Packs sent home and posted on-line for our RV Students

RV Black Bears

River View Families,

Today our teachers were instructed to have a plan in place for all students to keep learning happening over the next several days.  All River View Students grades 4-12 have participated in an informal survey asking about the Internet, Wifi or Data Services available in the place in which they are living.  We have identified those students in those grade levels who do not have access to online learning as a result of not having wifi or data services. These students should be coming home with instructional packages that have content specific to their grade level and course work.  We encourage you to have them complete these packages as the days progress over this closure. If your child indicated they had services, then our teachers were instructed to utilize an online learning platform such as Google Classroom to get information to students in an effective and timely manner.  For students in Grades PreK-3, all were given paper copies and placed in their homework folders to be worked on during our closure.

Please remember, this work is not to be completed all in one day.  This is a way for our students to continue practicing Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, etc. Each assignment is specific to your student's grade level/content area and is designed to be 20-30 minutes of work per day, per subject based on your students’ grade level.

Please keep checking back on our district webpage and our social media outlets for further information.  Our plan is to have online resources and additional content for each grade level and subject after our Teacher Inservice on Monday.

Updates will be given on these platforms as we gain more information from our state officials.

Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time.
