Welcome to my webpage! I teach preschoolers with disabilities at Warsaw Elementary, as well as typically developing children. This is the newest grade in the public school system and the youngest grade in the special education department. I am proud to say that I have taught an entire generation of students. I've been teaching since before the internet! If you're visiting this page because you know me or remember me, leave me a message. If you were in my class, then I likely remember you! I earned my bachelor's degree from Kent State University and my master's degree from Ashland University. I am also a reading specialist.
My main goal for my students is that they develop a love of learning so that they are ready to go in kindergarten. My other goals? Check out Ohio Department of Education's early learning & development standards. We have standards in language arts, math, science, social studies, motor skills, and social/emotional development. Look and you'll see how closely they correlate with (and feed into) K-12 standards.
