7/20/18 - Additional Update Regarding Keene Elementary School

Keene Elementary water system completed additional monitoring for lead and copper levels in the drinking water with a total of 10 samples.    All lead sample results are below Ohio EPA's maximum action level and are in compliance with Ohio EPA regulations.   One sample site was over the Ohio EPA's maximum action level for copper.  All 9 of the other copper sample results are below Ohio EPA's maximum action level.  This results in a copper violation for the one sample site.  The water system is in compliance with Ohio EPA regulations.    The sample site that was in violation for copper was a drinking fountain that was installed in June 2018 after school was closed for the summer break.  NO students drank water from that fountain.  The drinking fountain has been removed and will be replaced.

The additional test results are attached for review.  /userfiles/188/my files/keene notice of tap water lead and copper results.pdf?id=4336
