LOCAL STUDENTS WIN SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS
AT JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT EVENT
(MANSFIELD, OH) – The inaugural Mansfield-Area JA Career Readiness Conference was held on Friday, April 21, hosted by Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio. The event was held at the Ohio State University – Mansfield Campus.
The JA Career Readiness Conference is a one-day event during which students participate in hands-on activities to develop their work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills.
One part of the Conference is the JA Titan Challenge, a high school competition that uses Junior Achievement’s high school JA Titan Program. The winning team was Hunter Holdsworth, Eli Keneda, and Sami Trowbridge from River View High School in Warsaw, Ohio. Each student receives a $400 scholarship for their college education.
Sponsors for the event included Ariel Corporation, K.E. McCarthy Associates, and Miliron Iron and Metals.
